MARLOWE VOLKERING
With two and a half decades of experience in leading design practices across residential, commercial, retail and hospitality projects, Marlowe Volkering — Principal and Founder — brings a considered and collaborative approach to every commission; crafting original interiors that are deeply attuned to their architecture, their surrounding landscape and the people who inhabit them.
PRACTICE
The spaces we create are seen and felt.
We design interior environments shaped by human connection to the built form and the unique project-specific opportunities for context, meaning and purpose.
Our studio is defined by values-led design with an emphasis on longevity, utility and enduring quality.
Foundational to the work are sound modernist principles, clarity of concept, experimental enquiry and honest material expression with exacting detail.
Curation is guided by timelessness, craft, nuance, novelty and the simple joy of discovery.
The work is the product of authentic client discussion, collaboration and the pursuit of ideas — to create interiors that are attuned, intentional and deeply personal.
A small, dedicated studio — we are present, efficient and genuinely responsive to our clients and collaborators at every stage of the design process.
Marlowe Volkering Design is a Melbourne-based interior design practice specialising in refined residential projects for discerning clients. Our experience extends across a broad range of sectors including commercial, retail and hospitality.
